'Diamond rain' falls on Saturn and Jupiter

I found an interesting and suprising article on BBC.

US scientists have calculated that diamonds which celebrities will be likely to wear can fall on the planet. There are much carbon the gas giants such as Jupiter and Saturn, a new shows. As the form of methain is changed by thunderstorm, it eventually become diamond.

If the research prove it is true, I think we people all over the world hope to know about how diamond will appear more or less because of its scarcity value. Although several people should know that the diamond is composed of carbon, many of ordinary people about it in detail. The 2010 study shows that these planets' surface is coverd with graphite while the earth is surrounded by water and granite. I think it is interesting contrast between values of something important to us. As the technolgy advancies so that people can get diamonds, our interest and expectation for it will increase.
